Christmas Palm Tree

The Christmas Palm Tree is also known as the Adonidia Palm and is super easy to grow. The Christmas Palm develops seeds which become bright red at around Christmas time.

This beautiful palm is native to the Philippines and can grow up to 25 feet high with a spread of 8 feet. The Christmas Palm Tree is self-cleaning and does not require a lot of maintenance. Christmas palms can be planted together, as they have small root balls, but be sure to not plant the trees too close to each other.

Christmas Palm Trees can tolerate temperatures down to 30F for a short period of time.

USDA hardiness zones 10a-11 are recommended.

Water

After planting, water the Christmas Palm every day for the first week and every other day for the second week. Water once a week after 2 months.

Fertilization

Fertilize 3 times a year - in Spring, Summer and Fall.

Sun

Christmas Palm Trees do best in full sun, but can tolerate partial shade.

Cold

Christmas Palm Trees can tolerate temperatures down to 30F for a short period of time.
